Microsoft Business Central Integration · Live Today

Your CSP billing and Business Central, finally talking to each other.

Most BC partners eventually try to build something for license and billing management, until Microsoft’s SKUs, currencies, and rules make it impossible to keep up. Work 365 is the purpose-built alternative: billing-, pricing-, and provisioning-aware, with invoices posting to BC automatically. No middleware. No manual exports.

Billing-aware

Invoices carry pricing context from Work 365.

Provisioning-aware

Subscription changes trigger G/L entries.

Pricing-aware

Your markups and strategies flow through to BC.

No middleware

Direct API, no third-party connector layer.

What syncs

Every entity your finance team cares about, synced automatically.

The Work 365 Advanced BC Integration covers the full billing lifecycle. When a subscription renews, an invoice generates in Work 365 and posts to Business Central without anyone touching a spreadsheet.

Customers

Customer records sync bi-directionally. Create or update a customer in Work 365 and it flows to BC: accounts, contacts, billing addresses, payment terms.

Invoices and GL entries

Invoices generated by Work 365 post automatically to BC as sales invoices. G/L entries apply to the correct accounts, including line-level tax handling.

Subscriptions and renewals

Subscription lifecycle events (new, renewal, seat change, cancellation) trigger the corresponding billing entries in BC without manual intervention.

Payment status

Payment collections processed in Work 365 (Stripe, Authorize.Net, GoCardless) update invoice status in BC in real time. Reconciliation closes automatically.

Products and pricing

Product catalog items (Microsoft CSP SKUs, your own services, ISV add-ons) sync to BC with the pricing strategies you've set in Work 365 applied.

Azure usage data

Azure consumption data flows from Work 365 into BC for accurate monthly billing. Usage-based charges hit the correct GL accounts alongside your recurring subscription lines.

How it works

One billing cycle. Zero manual steps.

Work 365 is the source of truth for your CSP billing. Business Central is your accounting system. The Advanced Integration keeps them in sync throughout the billing cycle, automatically, not on a schedule you manage.

1

Subscription event occurs in Work 365

A new subscription is created, a renewal fires, or a seat change is processed, via provisioning, self-service, or manual entry.

2

Invoice generates with pricing context

Work 365 builds the invoice with your pricing strategy applied: markup, currency, term, and tax calculation where applicable.

3

Business Central receives the invoice and posts GL entries

The invoice posts to Business Central as a sales invoice. GL entries hit the configured accounts: revenue, tax, accounts receivable.

4

Payment collected and reconciled

When payment is collected via Work 365, BC invoice status updates. Finance teams see a closed-loop view without touching a spreadsheet.

What changes for your team

One connected system, felt across the business.

When Business Central and CSP billing run on one platform, the change shows up in how each team spends its day.

Finance

Close the month with confidence. Invoices post to Business Central with the right GL entries already applied, so reconciliation becomes a review rather than a rebuild.

Operations

From many spreadsheets to one system. Subscription changes flow straight into billing, so the team stops re-keying the same data between tools and chasing what did not match.

Leadership

Room to grow. Add subscriptions, vendors, and customers without adding finance headcount to keep pace, with a single view of the Microsoft practice.

Why this matters

The only CSP platform with Business Central built in. Not on a roadmap.

Most CSP billing tools treat Business Central as an afterthought: a generic API or a future item. Work 365 built the BC integration as part of the core product. The difference shows in the data flow.

"Billing without provisioning is revenue leakage. Most homegrown tools inside BC stop where Microsoft starts: Partner Center. Work 365 closes that gap."

Billing-aware: not just invoice push

Our integration carries Work 365's pricing strategies, subscription context, and billing cycle rules into BC, not just a raw invoice document.

Your data stays in your environment

Work 365 is built on Dataverse. Your customer and pricing data stays in your Microsoft environment, not hosted on a vendor's SaaS platform.

Microsoft Co-ops reimbursable

Work 365 qualifies for Microsoft co-op funds, reducing your effective cost. Most third-party tools and generic ERP connectors do not.
